AMTech & AMC 2021 grand launch in Greater Bay Area

Co-organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Machinery Sub-Council, Messe Stuttgart and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Advanced Manufacturing Industry Alliance (a union of 21 professional associations of manufacturing in Greater Bay Area), the AMTech and AMC 2021 took place at the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center (Bao’an) on 11-14 October 2021.

As the first exhibition on advanced manufacturing in China, AMTech covers the entire industry chain of precision metal processing, including digital transformation, and attempts to offer a refreshing experience to the guests and visitors through the display of “holistic solutions”. 200 exhibitors from 11 countries and regions brought their most-up-to-date products and solutions on a 40,000sqm exhibition area, attracting 32,140 professional visitors and buyers during 4-days.

 


A collection of well-known global brands

Focusing on the new technologies, new models and new businesses in “digital manufacturing, smart manufacturing, and green manufacturing”, AMTech has come up with the theme of “Advanced Manufacturing Technology Reshapes and Rebuilds the Future of Global Manufacturing”. Based on the global metalworking industry, it strives to create a technology-oriented and international exhibition platform that is “technologically advanced”.

AMTech’s debut in the Greater Bay Area has gathered well-known global brands, including Yamazaki Mazak, +GF+, HURCO, FFG, DMG MORI, TRUMPF, Bystronic, HAN’S LASER, bodor laser, HGTECH, Raycus, JIER MACHINE-TOOL, YANGLI Group, Wuxi Machine Tools, Henfux, LK Group, Siemens, BEIJING-FANUC, HEIDEHAIN, FAGOR, GSK CNC, Hexagon, Dasqua, Sandvik Coromant, Walter, Kennametal, ISCAR, Horn, WTO, SHANGHAI-FANUC, NACHI-FUJIKOSHI, UNIVERSAL ROBOTS, Han’s Robot, ELITE ROBOT, W-Robot, Bekannter, HAOZHI, EVA Group, Silver Basis, Shun King Park, and GENERAL.

More than 20 famous advanced manufacturers in Germany have appeared at the AMTech2021 German National Pavilion, which is initiated and supported by the German Machine Tool Builders‘ Association (VDW) and co-organized by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy (BMWi) and the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry (AUMA). VDW also showcased UMATI, the machine communication standard to which most of the European and Chinese manufacturers are committed.

Advanced Manufacturing Association (AMT) has displayed the CNC Equipment Interconnection Agreement (Standard) (MTConnect V.1.7) through collaboration with its six member companies: Hardinge, HURCO, Kennametal, SUNNEN MECHANICAL, OMAX, and OMEGA.


Co-organized by the Shenzhen Robotics Association, the Robots Pavilion has attracted many domestic and foreign leading companies and start-ups in robotics and automation to showcase a variety of new products in the and upstream and downstream of the R&D and industry chains. These companies have also provided professional advice on automation solutions at the exhibition.

The Special Exhibition Area for Green Manufacturing and Smart Manufacturing in Metalworking, which is co-organized by the Green Manufacturing Branch and the Intelligent Manufacturing Branch of China Machinery Industry Federation, has presented China’s latest scientific research results and successful applications in green manufacturing and intelligent manufacturing.

The Shenzhen Advanced Manufacturing Pavilion, which is cooperated with a number of industry associations in the Greater Bay Area, has served as a platform for excellent small and medium-sized advanced manufacturers in core parts and components, key basic materials, advanced basic industry, industrial technology foundation, and basic software to compete with their bigger counterparts.

 

Mutual promotion between the AMTech and the AMC

The Advanced Manufacturing Conference (AMC2021) has been held concurrently with AMTech2021. At the main forum, Professor Li Peigen of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, who is also member of the CAE and chairman of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, delivered a keynote speech called Digital Transfomation deepen reform in Enterprises; Dr.-Ing. Wilfried Schäfer, executive director of the VDW, delivered a keynote speech called International umati Activities and the Economic Situation of the Machine Tool Industry In and Outside Germany; and Mr. Douglas K. Woods, president of the AMT, delivered a keynote speech called Digital Transformation Technology - The Only Way to the Development of Manufacturing. Focusing on “Digital Transformation Technology Empowers Global Manufacturing”, a round-table discussion was chaired by Sun Xitian, chairman of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Advanced Manufacturing Industry Alliance and former chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Machinery Sub-Council. Prof. Dr. Gisela Lanza, member of the Management Board of the Institute of Production Science (wbk), Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and head of the Production System Department, Lucas Bretz, general manager of the Global Advanced Manufacturing Institute, Yang Gang, president of TRUMPF (China) Co., Ltd., Chen Jihong, chairman of Wuhan Huazhong Numerical Control Co., Ltd., Shan Yaodong, vice president of Yamazaki Mazak (China) Co., Ltd., Shen Feng, executive vice president of NIO and chairman of North American Auto Professional Association (NAAP), and Chen Yiping, vice president of Rootcloud Technology Co., Ltd. delivered their insights during the discussion. The heated discussion livened up the activity venue.

During the three-day event, the AMC also held four high-quality technology sub-forums: Digital Processes and Solutions in the Automotive Industry, New Applications of Advanced Manufacturing Technology in Aerospace and Transportation, Forum on Robotics - Intelligent Manufacturing Empowered by Machines, and New Trends of Advanced Manufacturing Technology in Digital Medicine.

The forum on Green Intelligent Manufacturing Development, which is co-held by the Intelligent Manufacturing Branch and the Green Manufacturing Branch of China Machinery Industry Federation on the morning of October 12, focus on the key points of current industry policies and pay attention to the hot topics in the development of industry technology, in order to meet the demands for transformation and upgrading of the advanced manufacturing industry in the Greater Bay Area.

The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Advanced Manufacturing Industry Alliance together with its 21 association members co-organize a conference to discuss the development trends and industrial needs of the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry in the Greater Bay Area.

 

 

 

 


Special exhibition areas and various new products

A new product release stage has also been set up at the AMTech2021, and visitors were offered more than 40 launch events there during the exhibition period. DNE - Member of Bystronic debuted its new fiber laser tube cutting machine; GSK CNC introduced its Seven axis welding robot; Henfux launched its new glass engraving and milling equipment, HFGK-830H; and BASIS showcased its Tsingding Ultrasonic Precision Machining System. All products have caught the eye of the audience.
