The Press Conference and Global Launching Ceremony of International Advanced Manufacturing Technology Show and World Advanced Manufacturing Conference (AMTech & AMC2021) were held in Shenzhen.
Mr. Gao Zhan, Director of Shenzhen Industrial and Information Technology Bureau; Mr. Cui Minrong, director of Shenzhen CPPCC and Economic Committee; Mr. Sun Xitian, President of CCPIT Machinery Sub-council (CCPIT-MSC); Mr. Zhang Yaohua, Chairman of Guangdong-HongKong-Macao Advanced Manufacturing Alliance (GHM-AMA); Ms. Li Dongru, Deputy Secretary General of the Chinese Federation of Machinery Industry attended the press conference.
Attendees to the press conference included representatives from Fanuc, Mazak, Siemens, Sandvik, Nicolas Correa, Makino, Amada, AIDA, Trumpf, Nachi, THK, Han's Laser, Qualcomm, Hexagon, Mitsubishi automation, TÜV, IPG, HNC, Heidenhain, Siasun, Foxconn, BYD, Huawei, Gree electric appliances as well as machinery manufacturing associations in the Greater Bay Area. Dr. Wilfred Schäfer, President of VDW and Mr. Roland Bleinroth, CEO of Messe Stuttgart (LMS) gave lectures via video due to Covid-19.
In the press conference, Mr. Gao Zhan and Mr. Cui Minrong respectively spoke about the policies to develop advanced manufacturing in Shenzhen and the supporting position of Shenzhen CPPCC and the Economic Committee towards AMTech &AMC 2021. Mr. Cui Minrong pointed out that this new exhibition and conference supplied the best opportunity for Greater Bay Area companies to develop their advanced manufacturing capabilities through green and intelligent technologies. He then reminded that the Greater Bay Area will be built into a globally influential international innovation and technology hub and a world-class advanced manufacturing industry and strategic emerging industry cluster area based on the Outline of Development Plan for Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, which was issued by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council in 2019.
During the press conference, the presidents of the three organizers of AMTech & AMC 2021, namely, CCPITMSC, GHM-AMA and Messe Stuttgart, gave speeches titled “The Value of AMTech & AMC 2021”, “The Contribution of Associations in Shenzhen to the Advanced Manufacturing” and “Cooperation between German and Chinese Exhibition Companies to Make an International Show”. The three organizers will incorporate the over 20,000 members in the machinery manufacturing of CCPIT-MSC, 21 machinery manufacturing sector associations of the Greater Bay Area through GHM-AMA, well-known exhibition brands in the advanced manufacturing industry and global network though LMS, aiming to create an international professional exhibition platform for exhibitors.
Thereupon, chairman of German Machine Tool Builders’ Association (VDW) introduced the development of German advanced manufacturing industry and the trade between German and China. VDW will organize an official German pavilion in AMTech 2021 and meanwhile highlight UMATI, VDW’s open platform communication standard.
The representatives from leading companies, Foxconn, Hans Laser and Siemens, also gave presentations about their marketing orientation, new research and solutions. They all expressed their high expectation for AMTech & AMC 2021.
Finally, an introduction video presented the “raison d'être” and show orientation of AMTech & AMC 2021. In the era of transformation and upgrading of global manufacturing industry, AMTech & AMC 2021 focuses on digital manufacturing, smart manufacturing and green manufacturing. It covers all areas of precision metal cutting and precision metal forming (PMC & PMF) throughout their production chains and ecosystems. PMC & PMF manufacturers are linked to new technology companies exploring total advanced manufacturing solutions in order to support clients transform their production and business models saving costs, optimizing production and maximizing output.
